Corporate Voluntary and Community Sector Grants 2017-2020

Calling all Redbridge-based voluntary and community sector organisations

The Council would like to invite voluntary and community sector organisations in Redbridge to apply for Strategic Partner funding to provide services that will improve the quality of life of local residents.

The funding is for organisations that:

  • Have experience of engaging strategically with the Council and other public bodies to influence policy design, development and delivery of service.
  • Can provide a voice and represent the interest of the community they serve by ensuring that all public bodies are informed of the views of service users and local residents.

The Strategic Partner Fund

The Strategic Partner Fund has two strands.

a) Core Funding

organisations can apply for up to 50% of their core running costs

b) Commissioned Through Grants

Organisations can submit more than one application to either or both strands but a separate application form must be submitted for each application.

This fund will support the delivery of the following Corporate Priorities:

  1. Fairness increase fairness and respond to the aspirations of our borough
  2. Empower our communities to help shape our borough and the services we deliver
  3. Improve the quality of life and civic pride amongst our communities
  4. Transform our Council in tough times to be dynamic and responsive to the challenging needs of the future.

The 3-year budget for 2017/20 is £396,000 per annum, subject to availability of future funding

Funding Surgeries

Officers will be available to offer advice and answer specific questions at the following Funding Surgeries (by appointment only):

Important information

The Corporate Voluntary and Community Sector Project Grants including the Community Fund, Emerging Needs and New Initiatives and Redbridge Small Grants will open for applications later this year and be administered by The London Community Foundation. The Redbridge Community Projects Fund will be launched in January 2017 and will invite applications under the following 4 priority areas:

1. Improving the life chances of disadvantaged children, young people and adults
2. Developing social networks improving the ability of residents to support one another to feel safe and part of the community
3. Supporting the health and wellbeing of residents, preventing the need for health and social care interventions
4. Supporting residents to engage in activities to develop and improve their local environment
