What are Charity Trustees?

Charity trustees are the people who are legally responsible for the overall running and management of a charity.

We are looking for:

Individuals who identify with the needs of people experiencing and recovering from mental health problems; work effectively in a team; feel comfortable with making policy decisions and have a basic understanding of or a willingness to learn how charities work

What does it involve?:

As a Concern trustee you can look forward to serving and forging links within the local Redbridge community and influencing the design, delivery and management of services. Trustee meetings are held in the evening on average every 6 weeks.

Forest Farm Peace Garden aim to work with a broad cross-section of the local community to promote mental and physical health, social inclusion, intercultural awareness, and environmental sustainability. There are many ongoing projects in the Garden- growing organic vegetables, caring for fruit and berry trees, working with our beehives, tending the herb garden and organising workshops and events that welcome and share skills with the community.

Forest Farm Peace Garden is a volunteer led organisation, and aim to provide their volunteers with useful skills, positive experiences and a friendly community- Please get in touch with Mairead to find out how you can get involved.
