Reminiscence can be a powerful aid to working with groups of older people and those who are suffering from dementia. Objects and images from the recent past can be used to trigger memories and encourage people to share and value their own experiences. This often results in people becoming engaged with other members of the group. It also allows carers to understand the life experiences of those who they now look after.Where: Gants Hill Library, 490 Cranbrook Rd, Ilford, Essex IG2 6LA
Time: First Wednesday of every month from 2pm to 3pm
