Mental health services must improve the care they provide to patients

The CQC report demonstrates that in many cases, people's basic human rights are being infringed. What is clear, is that mental health services must do more to ensure that the care they provide to patients in hospitals is based on individual needs.

The CQC's Mental Health Act Annual Report, reveals that 15 per cent of people receiving care under the Act are not being involved in the decisions made about their care.
