Redbridge healthcare heroes recognised

North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT) has recognised healthcare staff in Redbridge for going the extra mile to care for service users and patients.

John Brouder, NELFT Chief Executive said: "Our annual staff awards are about recognising the outstanding contribution of our staff, both clinical and non-clinical."

NHS 'ignoring smoking in mental health patients'

This report draws on substantial evidence to highlight the plight of smokers with mental disorders, and reveals that only a minority of people from this group receive effective smoking cessation interventions by the NHS. This causes major reduction in their life expectancy and quality of life, exacerbates poverty and presents huge economic costs to the NHS and wider society.

Patient Survey Experience 2013 - Workshop Two, Thursday 4 April 2013

Have you recently received a Patient Experience Survey from Quality Health? If yes, RUN-UP have organised two workshops/drop-ins to help you fill this in. It is really important that you give NELFT feedback on the service they provide, whether that be good, bad or indifferent as they would like your views and we would like to help you.

We are a service user led independent group that can assist you in filling it in if you want us to.

A New Dawn Exhibition: 9th April - 20th May

A New Dawn is an art exhibition of all new work organised by thinkarts!, a project of north-east London charity CREST. Thinkarts! aims to promote wellbeing through artistic expression. It has in the region of seventy artists and writers using their art to assist with their recovery and their sense of wellbeing. Since January of this year, thinkarts! members have been working towards an art competition entitled 'A New Dawn' what light through yonder window breaks. It is the culmination of this hard work which will be on display at this exhibition
