NHS child mental health services are failing the next generation, say GPs
Up to four in five children with mental health problems are being denied access to treatment they urgently need in some parts of England, NHS figures show.
Overall six in 10 children and young people across England do not receive treatment for problems such as anxiety and depression, despite the risk of them coming to harm as their condition worsens.
The new data has renewed fears that vulnerable under-18s are suffering the effects of increasing rationing of psychological help on the NHS, despite high-profile government pledges to improve the service for children.

CCG seeks feedback on local services
Local health service staff want to know what local groups and their members think of local NHS services.
Redbridge Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is made of local GPs and is responsible for commissioning (buying) safe, high-quality health services – mainly hospital, community, and mental health services – for local people.
They would like feedback from voluntary and community groups in Redbridge about their members’ experiences using the local health services that Redbridge CCG commissions. They have produced a feedback form you can use to do this.
Please find below a link to the form. Please send your feedback to Boba Rangelov, Patient and Public Engagement Advisor, BHR CCGs at
